Historica of Lovely Fate
This article's content is accurate to the most recent public game version, 0.4.8d.

Back on Earth is an event that occurs early in the mid-game. It is Eric(a)'s first opportunity to go back to Earth, and assuming they don't end up taking the chance to escape, an indication that they are going to be at the Magical Camp for the long haul.

Requirements

To begin this event the Cutie Knights must first have beaten five magicos, as recognized officially by the camp. Some therefore don't count.

The player must have beaten at least three of the following:

Magicos that must have been beaten before this event include:

Additional accessible magicos that can be counted for the fifth include:

A big warning here though, once started you will have to see this event through to the end. If you have not completed Big Tree before that, then the ending will result in Marianne burning down the entire location, potentially killing Tilia if you had not already rescued her, and making Isabelle mad at you for some time.

Once the five magicos have been beaten, speak to Nele at night to obtain tickets to go to Earth. Note that Eric(a) must have either the Feminine Voice Transformation or the Lyrical Choker to successfully speak with Nele.

As preparation for the trip, make very sure about what levels of affection Eric(a) has obtained with each girl. If an affection level of 5 has not been reached with either Alice, Natalie, or Veronica (Veronica also requires having seen her spaceship), then the game will end. Furthermore, the following scenes will be affected depending on which girl has the highest affection, with her also receiving a permanent stat gain and new skill.

Alice: +5 MAT and Ghostly Daggers.

Natalie: +5 AGI and Infernal Bloodlust.

Veronica: +5 ATK and Dampening Field.

Choices

Arriving on Earth in an alleyway, Eric(a) recognizes as being near their father's bakery. The members of the team will shortly thereafter scatter to pursue their own interests for the trip. Whichever girl Eric(a) has the highest affection with will remain behind to speak with them. If none of them have a high enough affection, then it will be Natalie who remains for a goodbye before Eric(a) runs home, achieving the Escaped From Camp Ending.

If the affection level with at least one girl is high enough however, then the game will continue as explosions soon sound from the nearby restaurant. The remaining girl will quickly dash in to deal with the presumed magico, leaving Eric(a) behind outside to make a choice.

  • Choosing to immediately go help will proceed onward with the game and gain a point of acceptance. Any other options will not gain the acceptance point.
  • Choosing the other option will have Wendy chime in to try and urge you to go help your friend.
    • At this point going to help will not have any other effects.
    • Continued refusal to help will have Wendy reveal that without a mana-rich environment it is very likely she will fade and die.
      • Going to help now will gain an affection point with Wendy as she believes you are going back for her sake.
      • Refusing again will have Wendy prepared to fight you and lose an affection point with her.
        • If Eric(a) had previously learned Mana Burst by opening the door in their mind (or siphoning at least six magico cores), a boss battle against Wendy will begin. Winning will proceed to the Escaped From Camp Ending. Losing will force Eric(a) to go help their friends and Wendy will bitterly remember this in the future.
        • Otherwise Wendy is unable to actually do anything, and Eric(a) will proceed to run home unhindered, getting the Escaped From Camp Ending.

Restaurant

If Eric(a) did not end up escaping through one choice or another, they will then transform back into their Magical Girl form before proceeding into the restaurant. Happy at you showing up, your partner will gain their previously stated bonuses at this time, and a battle will commence against a group of Giant Bats.

Following the battle, the player can briefly wander the restaurant and talk to the patrons, but nothing of particular interest is here. Head towards the backroom to continue.

In the backroom another Magical Girl is found in battle against a magico, and seemingly losing. With the rest of the Cutie Knights showing up, you all engage in battle against Gloomwing to the protests of the failing Magical Girl.

After winning the battle, the other girl, Yoshida, quickly collapses due to her injuries. The group and the newly arrived Nele quickly evacuate her back to camp, with Eric(a) no longer having any chance to slip away.

Aftermath

Back in camp the girls are assembled in Marianne's Office for a debrief.

Yoshida, having failed so miserably, ends up demoted back to a camp trainee, with Marianne and Olivia commenting on her previously poor track record as well. Yoshida however protests this and blames the Cutie Knights for stealing her kill, completely ignoring how she would have been killed if not for their intervention.

It is also made clear that for the foreseeable future there will be no more trips to Earth. With a magico having appeared so near to one of their exits, the risk is too high. This means that Eric(a) will be stuck here for much longer than planned.

As mentioned before, if the Big Tree dungeon is not complete yet, then Marianne will now go to work out her anger by cratering the location. This will result in permanently losing access to the dungeon in this playthrough, the loss of any future Tilia events, as well as Isabelle being mad at you for a while.

Enemies

  • Wendy (Boss Battle)
    • Secret, and optional, boss fight with Wendy.
    • Losing forces Eric(a) to join their comrades in battle again, as well as Wendy remembering this incident.
    • Winning results in the Escaped From Camp Ending.
  • Giant Bat
    • A single battle against a group of four.
  • Gloomwing
    • Magico boss. Can bite a party member to gain special skills relating to the victim, and comments accordingly.
    • Losing results in the Tentacle Nest Game Over.
    • Does not provide a known core for story reasons.
