Isabelle is one of the Magical Girls working at Magical Camp.

Personality

Isabelle is seen by nearly everyone at camp as a major celebrity. The daughter of Marianne, she has undergone extensive training and is one of the most powerful magical girls of all time. In spite of this, she is still overwhelmingly positive, putting on a brave face and cheerfully humouring her fans even as she struggles to live up to her mother's expectations and the ever-growing threat the Magicos present.

Although she does not join your party, Isabelle knows Eric(a)'s secret and goes to great lengths to help maintain it, gleefully doing all she can to complete Eric's transformation into Erica while maintaining some plausible deniability. She claims that she and Erica "go a long way back," even if Eric(a) has no recollection of this. She also provides useful information in every dungeon you explore, and teleports you to safety should you lose a battle.

A bizarre, memory-spawned version of Isabelle from much, much earlier in her training assists Eric(a) while they explore Eric(a)'s Memories.

Relationship

Isabelle claims to have known Eric(a) in the past, having been childhood friends with them before Eric(a)'s parents spit up. From dialogue with her through the game it is evident that she is extremely happy to see them again. Isabelle goes out of her way to ensure Eric(a) stays at the Magical Camp despite the risk even though she otherwise exhibits great concern for their health and safety. Despite her clear affection for Eric(a), Isabelle is completely straight which combined with her strange desire to make him as female as possible, ostensibly for his disguise, makes her not a romantic option. In fact, she exhibits particular aversion to the idea of a romantic relationship with Eric(a) in particular.

Depending on your choices throughout the game, Isabelle may come to see you as a sister. Raising her affection level will further your relationship.

Affection

You can raise Isabelle's affection in the following ways:

  • Voice Transformation: Before you head out to explore for the day, Isabelle can be found speaking with the Energetic Magical Girl by the bridge on the west side of camp. Their conversation on karaoke eventually leads to her realizing you still have a male voice. She will offer to fix the problem by transforming your vocal cords and removing your Adam's apple. Choosing any option that results in her giving you the Feminine Voice Transformation will make her happy.
    • If Eric(a) does not have the transformation but has the Lyrical Choker equipped when approaching Isabelle here, you instead have the option of promising to accompany them to karaoke at a later opportunity to get the affection point.
  • First Dinner: Simply have dinner with Isabelle.
  • Second Dinner: Have dinner with Isabelle a second time. This succeeds whether or not you agree to let her give you the Sexy Waist Transformation.
  • Third Dinner: Speaking with Isabelle by the well allows you to have a third dinner with her. It is not accompanied by a cut scene, but still raises affection.
  • Movie Party: Speaking to Isabelle by the well when she's talking with two other girls will give you a chance to insist on spending time with her. This leads to an afternoon of trashy horror B-movies and raises affection once more.

Training Events

After the "Voice Transformation" event you can find Isabelle hanging out near the target dummy in the centre of the camp in the morning. Eric(a) can periodically train with her here to get stronger in a variety of ways.

  • Train With Her: Speak with Isabelle at the training dummy and she will teach Eric(a) Heart Blast. If you are in the Succubus Shift transformation then Baleful Fires will be learned instead.
  • Lovely Present: After the "Train With Her" event, and having at least two affection with Isabelle, speak to her next to the training dummy. She will gift Eric(a) the Lovely Heart Wand.
  • Child Soldier: After the "Lovely Present" event, beating at least one Magico, and having at least four affection with Isabelle, speak with her again. She will mention having been fighting Magicos since she was twelve, and teach Eric(a) some tricks to help them catch up. Eric(a) will gain +5 AGi, +5 MDF, and learn Lovely Lightning.

Non-Affection Events

Isabelle has several events that do not affect her affection (although some depend on having a certain affection).

  • First Bra: If the "Train With Her" event has been done and Eric(a) has at least a C-Cup in the Breast Growth Transformation, then speaking with Isabelle in the morning will have her bring you to her room to fit Eric(a) with their first bra.
  • Real Cute Girl: After the "Child Soldier" training event, and having beaten at least four Magicos, speak with Isabelle again in the morning. She asks Eric(a) if they ever now look in the mirror and think "Wow I am such a cute girl!". Answering "Maybe..." will gain an acceptance point.
  • Nothing Special: After the "Movie Party" event you can find Isabelle alone this time and choose to accompany her again. There will be several encounters with staff praising her for taking down a giant Magico Leviathan named Fenris, including an awkward talk with Marianne and the introduction of Sophie. Sophie will appear at night from now on in the Administration Building.
  • Rain Check: After "Nothing Special" you can again find Isabelle alone and choose to accompany her to play some video games. This time you encounter Marianne before heading into Isabelle's room which puts her in a bad enough mood that she asks for a rain check. Marianne is visibly upset by her obviously poor relationship with her daughter, and Eric(a) ends up spending some time with Marianne instead.
  • Secret Records: On Natalie's Route, after performing her "Redacted Records" event you can speak with Isabelle who will lead Eric(a) and Natalie to a room containing backups of records to try and find information on Natalie's father. An angel will appear to personally redact these records as well.
  • Friendly Spar: When the team goes after Yoshida when she sneaked into Phyre's Tower, Isabelle will interrupt and convince them to return, saying that Yoshida is probably just there for training. Insisting to push through instead of conceding will have her offer a friendly fight with the team; accepting the offer will unsurprisingly result in their very quick defeat (unless Eric(a) comes prepared with some interdimensional equipments). However, Isabelle will apologise for going too hard on them and believes that Eric(a) will become as strong as she is one day, perhaps even stronger. Phyre's Tower will be unavailable that day, and the battle will severely damage the team, or (if Eric(a) refused to come along) just Veronica.

Failing Expectations

Isabelle has several points where she becomes irritated with Eric(a) due to the latter's refusal to become more feminine, but most of these are ultimately minor annoyances and nothing more to her. On the other hand, failing to save Tilia makes her furious to the point of refusing to talk with Eric(a) for several days:

  • At the first opportunity when the party enters the Bee Hive, it is eventually revealed that Tilia was captured by the Magico's bee army and is being turned into one of her minions. The party must save the poor dryad from that fate immediately; failing to do so will have Isabelle swoop in and save Tilia who, having gotten the impression that Eric(a) and team are "callous bitches", leaves the camp in disgust.
  • If the party does not defeat Doom Flower before going to Earth for their holiday, Marianne will head out after the report meeting and blast the Big Tree out of existence in her rage. It is even possible that Tilia was still trapped inside the tree and thus killed by this, or she at least once again left the camp if she was freed. In the latter scenario, Marianne even explicitly chews out Eric(a) for being stupid enough to not finish the job properly.
