The Slime Palace (referred to as "Ruined Castle" by Natalie) is the first dungeon available for exploration. It is a very straightforward area designed to introduce the player to the basics of combat as well as how key items work. The party can also go back to the Palace for an optional dungeon and boss battle.
Layout
The Slime Palace consists of two maps: the large above ground section, and the underground boss' lair. While exploring above ground, try to avoid walking on the blue slimy terrain; each step you take in it inflicts 10 damage to each party member. Your goal is to find the rope (as well as the rest of the available treasure) and use it to descend down the hole in the north section of the castle to the Slime Princess waiting down below (Hint: Press "A" to bring up your key item menu).
Upon defeating Slime Princess, be sure to take back the rope before you go!
