Yoshida Hoshimiya is a former Magical Girl, later demoted to mere Magical Girl Trainee, who views herself as Eric(a)'s rival.

Backstory

Though her family heritage is distinctly Japanese, Yoshida was actually born in Brazil, her family having immigrated to the country two or three generations prior. Her family actually has a long magical lineage consisting of mystic ninjas.

At some point Yoshida was recruited to the Magical Camp as a trainee Magical Girl. While there, she was a student under Phyre, eventually graduating successfully. For several years afterwards Yoshida hunted magicos alone before the start of the game.

When the Cutie Knights are rewarded with a day off to visit Earth, Eric(a)'s plan to escape is foiled when a magico is discovered attacking a nearby restaurant. There they discover a ninja-themed Magical Girl engaged in combat, losing badly. That Magical Girl was Yoshida. Eric(a)'s team makes short work of the magico, and the day is saved, but not everyone is happy with this outcome.

Back in the Pocket Dimension, Marianne and Olivia decide that Yoshida's performance as a Magical Girl is unacceptable. And not just in this embarrassing display: apparently, Yoshida has a long history of sub-par heroism. And so, Marianne demotes her to Magical Girl Trainee, then sends her back to camp for more training and to learn to cooperate with others.

Personality

Yoshida's personality as seen thus far has little positives, and many negatives. As it turns out, despite her poor showing, Yoshida's aptitude as a Magical Girl is actually not bad, and she in fact has quite a bit of talent. However, her laziness with regards to training prevents her from getting the most out of her talent.

Despite failing to live up to her potential, Yoshida is prideful to the point of being egotistic. This leads to her being unable to admit to her own failings, and will shirk responsibility by pushing blame onto those around her. For instance, despite probably being about to be killed by Gloomwing she blamed the Cutie Knights for interfering instead of thanking them for saving her. This also leads into her ability to really hold a perceived grudge, and a single-minded determinedness to pay it back.

Although generally a loner, she is willing to work with others to achieve her goals. Soon after her return, Yoshida can be found speaking with other trainees, trying to form a new Magical Girl team. In fact, it appears that the only individuals in camp she hates are the Cutie Knights.

Interactions

  • Yoshida is introduced during the trip to Earth being beaten by Gloomwing. She is then rescued by the Cutie Knights and chewed out by Marianne and Olivia.
  • She can be found around camp speaking with other trainees to form a new Magical Girl team. Speaking with her while in the Succubus Shift transformation gives the option to spank her, gaining a Succubus Behaviour point and an acceptance point.
  • Following Yoshida's introduction and the subsequent fallout, she will begin stealing cores from the Cute Knights, appearing right as you defeat a magico. The affected cores are:
  • After two cores are stolen, and Veronica's morning events are cleared, the event Raiding Yoshida's Room will be triggered. This fails to recover any of the cores but can have other effects. This event cannot be triggered or will be interrupted if the following event "Operation Fluffy Kitten" is completed.
  • After three cores are stolen the event Operation Fluffy Kitten will begin. Success in this will prevent the theft of Eris' Core and recover one of the previous three cores.

The remaining cores may be recovered in a future version of the game.
