The Mimic Core originally comes from the Magico Mimic, but the Magico is finished off with its Core immediately stolen away by Yoshida. Later in the battle against her during Operation: Fluffy Kitten, if her teammate Felicia is defeated first, then this Core will be dropped. If Yoshida herself is beaten first there is a one in three chance of this Core being dropped. If either of their other two teammates are beaten first, a different Core will be dropped instead.

The following enemies drop the Mimic Core:

Felicia (Boss Battle) (100% if beaten first, 0% otherwise)
Yoshida (Boss Battle) (33.3% chance if beaten first)

Core Siphoning

The Mimic Core is unique in that its effects will vary drastically depending on which Cutie Knights' route Eric(a) is currently on, or who has the highest affection if not on a route yet.
