Bat Swarm
Eric(a): "That's a lot of bats!"
Alice: "They came from everywhere. They must have been hiding in every nook and cranny of the kitchen."
Veronica: "Stop complaining, more enemies means more targets."
Magical Girl: "Huh, who are you?"
Natalie: "We are fellow Magical Girls, we are here to help you."
Magical Girl: "What? Help? No, stop it!"
Veronica: "Quit the chit-chat Natalie, the bats are starting their attack!"

The Swarm of Bats is the initial form the Magico during the trip to Earth takes when first encountered. There is not too much to talk about with this fight. They have some decently strong attacks, with an HP drain, and a potential stun, compounded by the ability to attacks multiple times in one turn. The main downfall of the Swarm of Bats though is that they just do not have very much HP or defensive stats, and will quickly fall to a full party. Once this form is down, the next phase of the fight will start.
Gloomwing
Voice from the bats: "Humph, not bad. Guess I'll have to get serious."
*The Bat Swarm transforms into Gloomwing*
Eric(a): "The bats just merged into a half-bat woman, it has to be the magico."
Wendy: "That is a Gloomwing. It is a type of bat vampire magico that is capable of splitting its body into multiple bats."
Eric(a): "Huh, Wendy?"
Wendy: "Isabelle is not available, so I am taking her role for this battle. Normally, Gloomwings are used as spies or scouts by strong magicos. I do not like the implications of finding one on Earth. Pay attention Eric, this is very important: Gloomwings tend to specialize in physical attacks, but they have a few nasty tricks up their sleeves. Whatever you do, do not let her taste your blood."
The Gloomwing giggles viciously.
Gloomwing: "I will enjoy feasting on your blood."

Gloomwing is the true form of the Magico. Compared to her previous form, Gloomwing now has much higher stats, especially HP, and harder hitting versions of her attacks. While she can no longer move multiple times each turn, the new skills have multiple hits built in, making her no less deadly. All of Gloomwings attacks are actually physical based, even the Wind element Ultrasonic Shriek actually scales off of ATK and DEF. Putting up some physical defences with Misty Illusions or lowering her ATK with Veronica's Drain Strength will do a lot to make her less threatening. Using Lovely Barricade for the Ailment Guard to try and defend against the stun may also be a good idea.
With proper countermeasures taken, whittling down Gloomwing should not be too difficult. After a few turns though, Gloomwing will use Extract Blood, where she will at random bite one of your party members, copying several of their skills and gaining some other boosts.

Gloomwing when drinking Eric(a)'s blood becomes scarily more threatening. Her stats and resistances do not change unlike with the other options, but she once again gains the ability to use two actions per turn like in her bat swarm form. With the stronger abilities of her Gloomwing form, this then immediately makes her far deadlier all on its own. Gaining Heart Blast does little for her, as her low MAT stat does not allow her to make good use of it, but it is the other skill, the Immortal Tsar's Curse, that is truly frightening. This new debuff will lower all offensive and defensive stats of the party in one go, opening everybody up for attacks and decreasing damage output significantly. Misty Illusions is heavily recommended to counteract the defensive debuffs.

Gloomwing with Natalie's blood is not too much of an upgrade, possibly even a downgrade. Her AGI increases significantly which is not too consequential, and her MAT rises slightly along with a gained immunity to Fire. This renders Natalie far more ineffective in offensive, limiting her options significantly, but as the party healer half her time should be spent healing anyways. Gloomwing's new skills are both spells, and even with her buffed MAT, it is still not very high. These new spells serve to dilute her move pool and distract her from her stronger abilities than anything else.

Gloomwing with Veronica's blood is a mixed bag. Her physical stats rise significantly, increasing her ATK and DEF. The higher ATK makes all her existing skills even deadlier than they used to be, but like with Natalie her new skills just distract her focus.

Gloomwing with Alice's blood is something of a sidegrade, widening her pool of usable abilities without necessarily making her much stronger. Macabre Puppetry allows her to inflict the Charmed (Strong) status, an additional incentive to keep Lovely Barricade up to guard against it. Aside from that, her vastly increased MAT stat allows her to make use of the other two skills gained from Alice, but they aren't necessarily more effective than what she already had before.

Losing the battle against Gloomwing will result in the Tentacle Nest Game Over.
