Ailment Guard is a powerful positive status effect which greatly increases the resistance to all common negative status effects for five turns, at a 75% reduction, as well as giving a 20% NUL buff. However, it has no impact on other debuffs such as STAT Down. Also, having this status effect lures certain opponents into using Shatter Magic, a spell which negates all positive status effects, including this.
