Eric(a): "Giant bats? You know, this isn't that bad compared to some of the things we beat back in the camp."
Natalie Route:
Natalie: "Yeah, they don't have a chance against us two. I was expecting something worse from a free magico."
Veronica Route:
Veronica: "Indeed, they have no chance against us."
Alice Route:
Alice: "Hmhmhm. I knew you wanted to be happy after all.
Eric(a): "Can we talk about that later?"
Alice: "Fine, fine. Alice will take care of these bloodsuckers first!"
Harpy Peak:
Eric(a): "This bat looks like the ones we fought back on Earth."
Natalie: "The magico must have mutated it, maybe it's another Gloomwing."
Alice: "In that case, let's be extra careful to avoid getting bitten this time. Besides, bats can carry rabies."
Veronica: "Is that some kind of Earth disease?"
Alice: "Yes, a very nasty one."
Veronica: "I'm probably safe. I doubt an alien pathogen will be able to infect me."
Alice: "I wouldn't be so sure, haven't you ever read 'War of the Worlds'? It's a novel about an alien invasion that..."
Veronica: "I don't care about books written by primitives, especially when I'm about to get into a fight!"
Alice: "What!? I will have you know that 'War of the Worlds' is a classic that influenced sci-fi literature since..."
Eric(a): "Please don't take this the wrong way Alice, but Veronica is right. This isn't the time to talk about books."
Alice: "Sigh, I'm surrounded by philistines."

Giant Bats are mandatory enemies when returning to Earth, and thankfully aren't much of a challenge, even with two girls missing from the party. They do have a HP draining bite, but it doesn't do much damage. Use multi-target attacks to drive them off all at once. The bats on Harpy Peak are even less of a challenge, due to there being a full party.
The Giant Bats can be found during the trip to Earth and on Harpy Peak.
