Bestiary Entry: A powerful harpy, skilled in all forms of harpy combat, but as susceptible to trickery as any of her kind.

Red Harpy: "I will make you bleed!"

Isabelle: "Please, listen. That thing is only using you. After he no longer needs you, he will kill you."

Red Harpy: "Shut up mysterious voice from nowhere! I will beat you after I take care of these bitches!"

Isabelle: "Think, you stupid birdbrain! Harpies are always female! Can't you see what's wrong with your 'darling'!?"

Red Harpy: "Don't you dare badmouth darling! I will kill you!"

Isabelle: "It's useless. Okay, today we are dealing with some sort of magico mimic. These magicos aren't as strong as the others of their level, but very clever. This type of magico is parasitic. Their usual MO is to take the idealized form of their victim's fantasy. Once they have seduced their target, they slowly feed on them until they die. The worst part is that their victims are often so blinded by love that they fight to protect the magico."

Alice: "So that's why it looks like a harpy."

Isabelle: "Yes, the harpy chieftain must have been lonely and the magico took advantage of that."

Natalie: "Poor girl. We will punish the magico for toying with her heart!"

Isabelle: "Yeah, about her... She is a red harpy. These are not only the strongest kind of harpies, but they are also powerful spell-casters, so don't let your guard down for a second. Also, magico mimics often copy the powers of lesser magicos, so be prepared for anything!"

The Harpy Chief is the secondary boss of Harpy Peak and, while not a Magico, is a fairly powerful enemy in her own right. As the proud leader of the harpies and hopelessly in love with the Magico Mimic in the form of a male harpy, she'll attack the party and leave you with no choice but to fight her. Knocking out the Harpy chief first in the fight is the number one priority, as if the Magico Mimic is "defeated" first, he will actually just drain the Harpy Chief if she is still up, not only recovering all his health but actually gaining even more, growing stronger in every manner.

Most of the Chief's skills are fairly basic, aside from Reflect Magic that forces you to put a hold on using any spells against her while its up. While most of her abilities themselves are not inherently powerful, her own high stats are enough to make them threatening while carrying enough defensive bulk to make bringing her down take some time. The one thing you should be careful of is bad RNG with Kiss of the North Wind. While it only deals moderate damage with each hit, it hits randomly three times, so if Natalie who has a weakness to MC Ice.pngIce gets hit repeatedly it could get a little dangerous. Consider keeping up Lovely Barricade for the MDF to keep her safe (though doing so should be considered standard practice against bosses anyways).

For more information on her battle, see Magico Mimic.
