- This page is about the boss. Did you mean the character Yvette?
Eric(a): "Wait! Yvette, this isn't..."
Yvette: "Shut up, Shut up, SHUT UP! I don't want to hear your lies!"
Wendy: "That girl is completely mental!"
Eric(a): "Any ideas how to deal with her?"
Wendy: "She seems to be focusing a large amount of magical energy. I have a bad feeling about this. Try to somehow break her concentration or incapacitate her."

Yvette is a secret miniboss fought in a hidden passage in the Magical Camp at the end of the Y Investigation.
Similar to the Hungry Treasure Chest, the difficulty in facing Yvette is largely due to having to fight her using only Eric(a). A healthy stock of healing items is recommended, or use of the Cutie Magic Transformation so Eric(a) can heal themself with Sparkling Pink Rejuvenation, as well as having high enough defensive stats so that the healing outweighs the damage being dealt.
At the start of the battle Yvette begins charging up for an Instant Death skill. She will spend three turns casting Gathering the Storm, culminating in Ice Coffin in the fourth turn which renders you completely immobile. At this point you are already dead, and Yvette will finish you off with Ice Breaker. During this time Yvette actually has a massively increased chance to be Bound, Confused, Paralysed, or Stunned, and any of these will interrupt her charging, proceeding to the rest of the fight. A tactic that could be used is to take the opportunity while she is charging to set up buffs or get a few shots in for free during the several turn buildup before interrupting her.
Once interrupted, Yvette will use the only basic Attack she does in the fight and move into the second phase that will comprise the majority of the fight. With the fight proceeding into full swing Yvette will also go from being weak to most status effects to gaining several immunities and resistances. The fight from here on is fairly straightforward, though be careful to watch for her buffs: Armour of the Glacier and Glyph of Retribution. While the former is up she will gain resistances to most types of attacks, but become weaker to the fire element. While the latter is up DO NOT attack her. Attacking her while Glyph of Retribution is up will dispel all your buffs and deal a counterattack equal to half your max HP. Wait for Glyph to dispel on its own in a few turns and use the time to heal up or reapply buffs. One weak point to note is that while Yvette has lost her weakness to stun, it merely reset to base chance instead of gaining a resistance like most of the other status effects. As a result, Lovely Lightning is a very effective attack against her, dealing decent damage for a low cost with a good chance to stun and make her waste a turn.
Losing the Battle
Losing against Yvette will lead to the Death Knight Game Over.
