Fey Hex Bearers are Heralds that were forcibly "upgraded" by a Winter Sprite during battle. Infused with excess magic power, they gain command over a variety of powerful spells and some additional resistance to incoming magic damage. Particularly troublesome is the fact that they can use the spell Grasp of the Reaper, which has a medium chance to cause Instant Death against the chosen target. Due to this, and since neither did their health improve nor do they have better elemental resistances, they can and should be taken down quickly. Occasionally, a Herald being turned results in a Hex Bearer with noticeably larger chest than usual; this variant has higher defence and magic attacks, but is also somewhat slower to act.
