Belle is one of the Magical Girl trainees of the Magical Camp, and currently the youngest there. She was formerly one of Alice's "friends", and later recruited by Yoshida.

Backstory

Belle was born to a a family in Sweden with a history of magical potential. In her family there is typically only one child in each generation that develops magical potential, though this is not a hard rule and on occasion circumstances will crop up like it skipping a generation. Belle has at least one sibling, but she is the only one with magic.

In the generation prior to Belle, it was her aunt Sidsel who gained magic. Sidsel subsequently became a Magical Girl (and vampire) as a member of Team Red Rose at the Magical Camp. It was her who would later recruit Belle as a Magical Girl as well and bring her to the camp. This may have included some half-truths about "adventure" and "saving the world" to appeal to Belle's youthful naivety.

At the Magical Camp, she is placed under Olivia's care, as Olivia is a friend of Sidsel, however due to her immense work she is rather neglectful of her counselling duty. This may have lead to Belle meeting Alice and become one of her enslaved dolls. She would remain in this state for some time, until Eric(a) eventually ran afoul of Alice and subsequently freed Belle and Miranda.

Following her freedom from the mind control, Belle developed some trust issues and a dislike of Alice (though not quite hatred). She would soon after be recruited by Yoshida, as part of her desire for "revenge" against the Cutie Knights.

Personality

Prior to becoming a Magical Girl Belle was very bright and cheerful. Part of her reasons for becoming a Magical Girl was a desire to "save the world", showing a sense of either altruism, or adventure.

Following the events with Alice, Belle has become more timid and careful. She has learned not to so blindly trust people, even developing some trust issues, but it has actually reaffirmed her desire to do good. Sadly this desire conflicts with her timidness and fearfulness of scary things like Magicos which puts her in an awkward position. The experience has also given Belle a bit of a submissive streak, fantasising for somebody to take her away like a fairy tale princess being swept away by a prince.

Belle's hobbies include playing with dolls as well as reading. Both things that she actually had in common with Alice. She also enjoys spending time outdoors.

Interactions

  • As one of Alice's "friends", Belle was present in the cafeteria with Alice and Miranda, and would of course be present in Alice's room when the player finishes Alice's Memories and breaks the mind control.
  • She can be seen speaking with Yoshida in camp during her recruitment attempts, and will show up later in the Pleasure Palace during Operation: Fluffy Kitten as part of the boss battle against Yoshida.

Belle's Training

Should the player decide to take care of Belle however, she will turn against Yoshida and decides to help the Cutie Knights instead when it comes to their battle. As such, this should be done before the team ventures into further areas where she'll ambush the team and steal their cores to build her own team. However, there is a possibility that Belle will leave the fight entirely if the training event doesn't go smoothly.

After accepting to counsel Belle from Olivia, the next night Belle can be found eating by herself in the cafeteria. When being asked how was her day Belle tries to hide from the question, until it turns out that Olivia, fearing that she would be left behind, had taken Belle to the Slime Palace all by herself without a team, and the little girl had a lot of trouble clearing even the weakest of monsters, and that after dinner she should ask Eric(a) for extra training. Deciding to give the already exhausted girl a light training, Eric(a) decides on target practice - where the girl's gift for caustic magic disintegrated the target in a rather uncute way.

That night, the two come to Belle's room and her massive collection of books - reading them is Belle's favourite thing to do besides playing with dolls, which she understandably no longer likes. It's also understandable that Belle would have suspicions about Eric(a), them being Alice's friend and all that, but they manage to convince Belle to trust them a little, saying that Alice never wished harm upon her friends. After tucking Belle to bed and read her a story (that was also familiar to Eric(a)), they return to their room.

Belle will be right outside of Undine Dorm the next morning, and after Eric(a) prepares for the morning they head over to Garak's Tomb of all places. The little girl is (un)surprisingly not scared by the tomb's looks - if anything she feels familiar - and Eric(a)'s team will help her with cleaning the place. Or rather, most of the team - Alice had stayed behind for obvious reasons, but she is glad that someone is looking out for her. After a bit with Veronica's child soldier regime and Natalie's overbearingness, Eric(a) teaches the girl how to fight the undead enemies using her acid magic and staff.

Returning to camp that day Belle is now much more confident in her abilities than before, and she takes everyone back to her room to enjoy some magical candies - all the while Alice watches silently behind a tree. Everyone have fun with Belle's jellybeans that can cause a variety of effects - Eric(a) in particular can choose to get a bean that gives them a posh lady's voice, a deep manly voice, or they can fake eating one. (Veronica in particular is cautious about eating magical snacks from a vampire, but will join in the fun if Eric(a) pick the first option). After tucking Belle to bed and returning to their rooms, that night Natalie thanks Eric(a) for helping Belle out of her shell, saying that all she wants - coincidentally also what Alice wants - is for all of them to be friends.

The next night, Olivia will be meeting the girls in person, saying that they - again, except Alice - should come to her office for a reward. She is thankful that the girls helped Belle went through the culture shock and helped her train as a Magical Girl, also commenting on whether or not Belle is actually a suitable candidate - being forced by her family the moment she showed talent, a powerful but young and naive girl. She rewards the team with three of her panaceas, saying that Eric(a) need not be concerned with her paperwork any longer, before returning to her paperwork. After the meeting however Veronica is upset that the other two left Alice out this whole time, demanding that the two make up with her - although Alice's room will be locked out for that night.

Come the 4v4 battle, Belle will be noticeably more reluctant to enter battle, up until the point she asks Felicia why she's so mad at Natalie - turns out the clumsy Lilim accidentally set Julie on fire when the latter said they were cold, even though Natalie later apologized. At that point, Belle fully makes up her mind - to fight alongside Eric(a)'s team, a decision that upsets Yoshida's teammates, especially Miranda who thought the little girl is still under Alice's control.

During the fight, possibly because of the core not having enough time to merge, Belle cannot use any of her acid spells and only have access to a single skill: Frost Shatter, obtained from the core. Regardless, if Eric(a)'s team wins, Belle will return the Ice Core to her team before being teleported back to the camp. In this case, regardless of who you defeat first, you will not be able to obtain the other two cores, meaning this training essentially guarantees that you will get the Ice Core along with Dancer Core.
