The Sealed Archives are a dungeon accessible after the Cutie Knights have successfully fought Strange Shadow and then talk to Melancia, who requires help finding her friend Ariana. It is unique in that it is the only dungeon in the game right now located within the Magical Camp and furthermore is visitable in the evening. If the dungeon is entered while it is already dinner time, then when leaving Eric(a) will automatically go to bed with the player regaining control after waking up the next day. The dungeon is entered from a ladder in the northeast corner of the upper floor of the Library.

This place is called the Sealed Archives because some time in the past Phyre sealed a magico into this floor of the Library which caused it to be cordoned off. It is unknown why a camp full of Magical Girls has not yet dealt with it since then. Melancia sends the Cutie Knights up here to look for the Head Librarian Ariana who has gone missing, with Melancia worried she might be up here.

Layout

The layout of the Sealed Archives is quite simple in that it is located entirely on a single map. Navigation of it is slightly complicated by various traps scattered around left by Ariana. Walking on a trap will deal a significant amount of damage to the entire party's health as well as losing some MP. Having the entire party get wiped out by a trap will cause the BDSM Book Game Over. The traps are fairly easy to avoid though, being clearly visible black pentagrams covering an entire tile. Note that they do not disappear after touching them, so the player will have to make sure to take care the entire time.

The main gimmick of the Sealed Archives is a puzzle required to make the boss appear. As befitting its setting as a library, the puzzle involves books. Around the library in three locations there are interactable points on the bookshelves. Interacting with one of these points will note that there is a missing book, and then lists the titles of the books prior and after the empty spot. Checking all three of these points and reading the titles of all the books will reveal one point of commonality between all of them: they all have a number in the title.

  • Northeast (outside entryway): 0, 1, X, 2, 3, 5, 8
  • Northwest (inside room): 2, 3, X, 7, 11, 13, 17
  • West (above desks): 1, 4, X, 10, 13, 16, 19

Once laid out like this, the solution of the puzzle becomes clear: to find books with the corresponding numbers to complete the sequence for each bookshelf. The difficulty of the sequences from easiest to hardest is in reverse order to what is listed above, the west book case starts at one and advances by multiples of three with each item, making the missing number 7. The northwest sequence is prime numbers, with a missing number of 5. The northeast bookcase uses the Fibonacci sequence, needing a 1.

Scattered around the library are various books in the form of Key Items including the three books required for the puzzle, the ones including the numbers of 1, 5, and 7. There are also multiple unrelated books that have no purpose other than being distractions to the real answers. The first of the required books, The Fifth Sign of Nar Zukar, is a tan book on the table just left of the centre of the map, the last in a row of three tables extending from the west. In the southwest corner of the map are four tables arranged in a square, the other two required books are both here. On the bottom right table is an opened green book, The First Law of the Sun. On the top left table is an orange book, The Seven Circles.

With the three necessary books acquired, the other books scattered around the library are unneeded. Slot the books into their corresponding bookshelves, The First Law of the Sun in the northeast, The Fifth Sign of Nar Zukar in the northwest, and The Seven Circles in the west. Once all the books are in place, a tome on a pedestal will appear in the north end of the map, and interacting with it will begin the boss battle against the Cursed Grimoire.

Conclusion

After completing the dungeon, Ariana is still nowhere in sight, with Isabelle concluding that the Cursed Grimoire probably lied about having done something to her. Speaking with Marianne in the camp later will provide an option to mention the missing Ariana to her, resulting in Marianne calling out her pair of nekomata shinobi and dispatch them to go find her. Completion of the dungeon will also cause Giselle to appear in the mornings in the Undine Dorm, allowing access to his quest chain about library books.
