MC: Hunting for Clues

Hunting for Clues is an event that can be done early in Natalie's route. It is a series of events that begins while hunting for clues as to the identity of Natalie's father, although where the search eventually ends up has little to do with the original objective.

Initial investigation

The event can be started the moment that the player is on Natalie's route, provided Eric(a) currently has access to the Administration Building. Go into Olivia's office where you originally had your Medical Exam, and you will note a shiny interactable among the cabinets. Interact with it to find Natalie's records, full of redacted sections regarding her father and a series of memos from Nele. Nele at first questioned the redacted information, but after finding out she doubled down on scrubbing the information herself with great vehemence, even saying to shred and burn the physical records.

With this information now in hand, Eric(a) can report it to Natalie at night in their room. Natalie is rather dispirited to learn of all this, though believes Nele wouldn't hide who her father was without good reason. She even suspects that her mother Lilith may have killed her father. An affection point is also gained with Natalie at this point.

Of course Eric(a) is not one to simply let matters lie like this. The next step is to go to Isabelle in the morning, go and speak with her in her usual spot by the training grounds. Even after hearing that the records were supposedly destroyed, she shows no signs of worry and tells Eric(a) to grab Natalie and follow her somewhere. Isabelle ends up leading the two to a secret room belonging to Marianne, a record keeping room that automatically creates copies of any shredded documents (mostly for blackmail purposes). Shortly after Natalie gets her hands on the full unredacted records however, an Angel unexpectedly appears. The Angel proceeds to reduce the file to ashes stating that some mysteries are best left undisturbed, and then immediately leaves without explanation.

With all records seemingly destroyed, Nele unlikely to help, and Isabelle having already having given her shot, the only option left is to escalate to the Camp Director. Go speak with Marianne in the morning and ask about Natalie's father. Thankfully Marianne seems willing to be helpful in this instance and actually gets up to go check her records, quickly finding that the every set of records on this subject is now gone. With Marianne in the lead, she even goes to ask Nele about it, but it seems that even Nele's memories on Natalie's father are wiped now as well. With Marianne finding the thoroughness of this information blackout being rather creepy, she checks on the camp's detection spells for anything strange. Among the oddities she lists is "A winged girl in the Lifedrinker's forest...", and although Marianne dismisses it as a probable harpy, Eric(a) suspects it may be the previously seen Angel.

Head now to the Misty Woods.

Misty Woods

Arriving in the Misty Woods, a quick look around immediately shows an obvious clue: sets of foot prints on the eastern area of the map, leading towards the central cave. Head inside to the cave and further traces of footprints can be found. Trace them upwards to find that the crack on the wall has enlarged to become an opening. Head through to a second hidden cave map.

Once through you will find another cave not too dissimilar from the first. Even the enemy types to be found in here are still the same ones from before. You can follow the footsteps to another entrance in the northwest where your quarry awaits, but first make sure to loot the chests in this area. Among the chests are two Fairy's Nectars, extremely rare and powerful revival items that will even restore the target to full health.

In the final area the Cutie Knights will arrive to find the winged girl they have been searching for. However it is immediately obvious that she is not the Angel that Eric(a) and Natalie were looking for, and is instead talking to herself about completing an essay. Veronica however quickly jumps the gun and confronts her, causing her to drop her notebook in surprise, falling into the slime and destroying it instantly. The apparent schoolgirl is enraged by the destruction of her homework, launching the Cutie Knights into the boss battle against the Dragon Schoolgirl.

Losing this fight results in the Axolotl Nurse Game Over. Winning has the schoolgirl run off crying, leaving Eric(a) feeling like a bully and Natalie feeling down about failing to find any information on her father. Make sure to loot the chest to steal the Dragon Girl Panties before you leave.
