Natalie: "Awww, it's a cute little bee fairy! Good morning Miss Honeybutt!"
Eric(a): "Honeybutt?"
Isabelle: "Be careful, Natalie! That's not a fairy, it's a bee mage. They're former humans that have been transformed by the magico. After their minds are wiped, the magico imprints them with a tiny copy of itself."
Eric(a): "That's horrible!"
Isabelle: "Yes, and it's exactly the sort of thing Magical Girls fight against."
Eric(a): "..."

Bee Mages are obnoxious spellcasters which pelt your party with fire and ice damage, debuff your physical attacks, and may summon Drones to assist them in battle. They also enjoy occasional immunity to magic, making your primary methods for quickly defeating them unreliable. In general they should be defeated as quickly as possible, as they tend to make any combat worse if allowed to live.
There are several permutations to the skillset of a Bee Mage. A Bee Mage may be encountered alone, alongside an Assimilated Human, or summoned by the Monarch Insect. Only when alone will they be able to use Summon, which brings forth three Drones. When with the Assimilated Human, or after having cast Summon if alone, they will also be able to use Might and Reflecting Aura, but not at all when with the Monarch Insect.
Bee Mages can be found in the Bee Hive.
