Melancia is the Acting Librarian of Magical Camp's library. Unlike most residents of the camp, she is a Slime rather than a Magical Girl, and a surprisingly mild-mannered member of her species at that.
Backstory
Melancia herself is not entirely sure where she came from, having fallen through a crack in space some time in the past. The crack dumped her out in the sky, splattering her all over the ground. Even with the durability of Slimes this impact, while not immediately fatal, would likely have not seen her survive the night by her own admission. It was in this situation that she was found by Ariana, Magical Camp's Head Librarian. It was thanks to Ariana that Melancia survived, and it was likely her that got Melancia her current job as well given that she feels Marianne does not like her much.
Personality
Melancia is very friendly, helpful, and kind; all things that are rather atypical for members of her species. She is also unusually intelligent for a Slime, as showcased by her job, and her role in the creation of the Scan Scope prototype shows she also seems to have some aptitude for magical technology.
Interactions
As per her job, Melancia can be found on the ground floor of the library.
- Melancia sells Eric(a) the Bestiary for 300 lumes and the Scan Scope for 500 lumes, respectively.
- If Eric(a) does not have the 300 lumes for the Bestiary, Melancia will offer a loan of 850 lumes to cover both items. There is currently no time limit to paying back this loan, or consequences for not doing so at all.
- Once the Cutie Knights have finished their mission at the Research Base, speaking with Melancia will have her ask them to go look for Ariana in the Sealed Archives, opening access to the dungeon.
