The New Hope of Mizene is an Ending in Prisoners of the Elder One with two variants. Both variants unlock together when either is seen during gameplay.
Lone Shrine Maiden Variant
The Lone Shrine Maiden Ending is an Ending in Prisoners of the Elder One and one variant of The New Hope of Mizene. It is achieved in the same way as The New Lady, but Erik has to have used the Transfigurative Orb 5 times, and Tiffany must still be a cat.
Since there is latent magical energy within Erik from the Orb, he volunteers to become the new Priestess. Overnight, his body changes into a tiny Japanese girl, and she renames herself Mirai, taking to her new job quite quickly. She spends the rest of her life in service to Mizene.
Twin Shrine Maidens Variant
The Twin Shrine Maidens Ending is an Ending in Prisoners of the Elder One and the other variant of The New Hope of Mizene. It is achieved in the same way as The New Lady, but Erik has to have used the Transfigurative Orb 5 times, and Tiffany must be fully restored.
Since there is latent magical energy within Erik from the Orb, he volunteers to become the new Priestess. Overnight, his body changes into a tiny Japanese girl, but unlike in the Lone Shrine Maiden Ending, his identity and memories fade with his body, reborn as Miyu, along with her twin sister Mako (formerly Tiffany). While confused, Kikyo and the others relent, and the twin Maidens live the rest of their lives in service to Mizene, with the occasional dream of their former lives.
