Garak is a Magico Lord and one of the more insidious threats to the multiverse. Although currently defeated, reduced to a mere skull on a stick, and imprisoned in Marianne's Pocket Dimension, Garak's past crimes, powerful magic, and persuasive nature make him a force to be reckoned with.
History
War on Thrudmadra
<blurp />
Seduction of Veronica
It is not known when exactly Veronica came across Garak, although from what is overheard of her cliqué and particularly the blonde magical girl rescued in the Ruined House, she and her team entered the Tomb of Garak a little while before Eric(a) entered the camp. Garak's natural silver tongue easily convinced Veronica (who herself is troubled and paranoid due to her brother's attempts to kill her, and thus seeking more power), to join forces with him and provide him with lifeforce. Although hesitant to outright kill other people for it, Veronica nonetheless complies with the request and secretly uses her species' natural absorption powers to siphon lifeforce from her team and give it to Garak in an attempt to revive him in his proper form and break the seal placed on him and his tomb by Marianne.
This goes on in secret for a while until Eric(a) and team (consisting of Natalie and, possibly, also Alice) find their way into the inner chamber where Garak reprimands Veronica about being too lax, and pushes her to sacrifice others for her ambitions - after all, her brother would not hesitate for such a thing in the slightest. As the team overhears this, Garak suggests siphoning the new arrivals, and a fight against Veronica and Garak in his current staff-form ensues.
After the battle is won, Garak calls Veronica pathetic and unfit to rule a pig farm, much less an empire, to which Natalie proceeds to blast him out of existence (until he would eventually revive that is). The team confronts Veronica and, with some difficulty, convinces her to stop working with Garak. She then decides that Eric(a) and team might make better allies and joins them instead.
Powers
Garak is one of the most powerful and knowledgeable necromancers in existence, capable of raising and commanding vast armies of the dead. This magical talent is matched by his innate magico ability to corrupt and transform victims; in Garak's case, his minions are shambling, mindless undead. These creations have severe limitations to usefulness, however, compelling Garak to bargain with those whose talents seem worth more than their raw life force.
Garak enjoys a peculiar form of immortality. When defeated, Garak infallibly regenerates mere moments later, though at nowhere near full strength. In his own words, he sees himself as "eternal." Unlike all other magicos Eric(a) defeats, Garak drops no arcano core. Whether this has anything to do with his peculiar immortality is unknown.
