The World Improver is a consumable item used to lower the game's difficulty. The player starts with this item in their inventory if starting on the Normal difficulty.
The World Improver can only be used from the menu while within the safety of the camp. As of now the only difficulty it can be used to change to is Easy Mode which will consume the World Improver upon use.
Trivia
- The developers have announced that the World Improver will eventually be usable to change to more difficulties other than Easy once those are implemented, but only from a harder to an easier difficulty, not back.
- The developers have cheekily refered to this item as the W.Imp. on occasion.
