The '''Slime Palace''' (referred to as "Ruined Castle" by [[MC: Natalie|Natalie]]) is the first dungeon available for exploration. It is a very straightforward area designed to introduce the player to the basics of combat as well as how [[MC: Key Items|key items]] work. The party can also go back to the Palace for an [[MC: Slime Palace (Underground)|optional dungeon]] and boss battle.<br />

The Slime Palace consists of two maps: the large above ground section, and the underground boss' lair. While exploring above ground, try to avoid walking on the blue slimy terrain; each step you take in it inflicts 10 damage to each party member. Your goal is to find the [[MC: Rope|rope]] (as well as the rest of the available treasure) and use it to descend down the hole in the north section of the castle to the [[MC: Slime Princess|Slime Princess]] waiting down below (Hint: Press "A" to bring up your key item menu).<br />
