Once triggered, Eric(a) will wake up the next day with one of the transformations applied. This will reset the effect back to 0% and won't trigger again until the next time you use Mana Burst again bringing it back to 40% trigger chance.

If all the transformations have been obtained, then the side effect obviously no longer matters. In such a case, Mana Burst is quite useful for replenishing MP, and on a boss fight the large amounts of TP is quite useful as well. The TP can even be comboed with [[MC: Aurora Burst|Aurora Burst]] to help restore the MP of other party members.
