The [[MC: Magico|Magico]] '''Life Drinker''' is the ruler of the [[MC: Misty Woods|Misty Woods]], having consumed the lifeforce of nearly every living thing within its borders. While most of its abilities are straightforward physical attacks, its unique twist is a combination of its two signature skills [[MC: Enfeebling Mists|Enfeebling Mists]] and [[MC: Death Breath|Death Breath]]. The first applies the unique {{MCWeakened}} [[MC: Status Effects|status effect]] to two random party members, cutting their ATK and MAT in half. While this is annoying enough on its own, its true effect comes into play when combined with the latter skill. Death Breath on its own deals a strong but non-lethal amount of {{MCInstantDeath}} element damage to your party, but for any Weakened members it will become a true Instant Death, suffering a lethal amount of damage instead unless they are using [[MC: Guard|Guard]]. Sadly, [[MC: Lovely Barricade|Lovely Barricade]] has no effect against weakness, and thus is useless for this battle between that and everything being physical.

First off, as mentioned before all of Life Drinker's abilities are physical, meaning that they go up against your DEF, not your MDF, so you may want to change your gear to focus on the former instead of the latter. Second, if you have them, equip one of your party members with the [[MC: Bunny Print Panties|Bunny Print Panties]]. This accessory negates all instant death effects, and also provides a hefty amount of DEF, making it well-suited for this fight. Natalie would not be a bad choice as she heals and revives, but unfortunately she cannot actually equip panty-type [[MC: Accessories|accessories]]. Eric(a) if they have [[MC: Cutie Magic Transformation|T3 Transformation]] and the associated [[MC: Sparkling Pink Rejuvenation|healing]] and [[MC: Shiny Restoration|revival]] skills would also make a good second choice. Beyond that, you should simply pour out damage quickly without getting killed yourself.

Life Drinker will cause a decent amount of havoc with his physical attacks, so [[MC: Natalie|Natalie]] will likely focus on healing. [[MC: Veronica|Veronica's]] physical attacks will be largely ineffective here, as Life Drinker resists physical damage; consider having her tank with [[MC: Luring Flare|Luring Flare]] or use support items instead. Finally, although Life Drinker doesn't always follow up Enfeebling Mists with Death Breath, you should be careful about having weakened characters do anything but guard. Getting caught by a successful Death Breath will prove disastrous. Pay attention to the status effect, and let the characters return to combat after the weakness wears off.
