The '''Hungry Treasure Chest''' is a secret miniboss located in [[MC: Marianne|Marianne's]] Junk Room of the [[MC: Administration Building|Administration Building]]. Although normally docile, it has been trained by [[MC: Marianne|Marianne]] to respond violently if any males attempt to access its contents. The fight will not trigger if [[MC: Eric(a)|Eric(a)]] is in a completely female state while interacting with the Chest, something achievable through certain [[MC: Radical Transformation|Radical Transformations]] such as the [[MC: Cutie Magic Transformation|Cutie Magic Transformation]]. Note that not all Radical Transformations turn Eric(a) completely female by whatever method the Chest judges by, and the same goes for having the full [[MC: Penis Reduction Transformation|Penis Reduction Transformation]].

The Chest's difficulty is mainly a result of the fact that you must face it using only Eric(a), without the rest of the party. This means that without Natalie around the player should be prepared for Eric(a) to be able to heal themselves through the boss fight. Either bring along a lot of [[MC: Consumable Items|healing items]], or have Cutie Magic Transformation for its [[MC: Sparkling Pink Rejuvenation|Sparkling Pink Rejuvenation]] spell (while the fight cannot be triggered while already in the transformation, it can be used during the fight without issue).

Its attack strategy is simple, consisting of poisoning you, hitting you for heavy Sharp damage, and attempting to inflict {{MCInstantDeath}} after charging. Use [[MC: Guard|Guard]] to negate its Swallow Whole attacks, and high DEF gear to minimize the impact of its Rending Bite. Better still, take advantage of its general lack of [[MC: Status Effects|status effect]] resistances: [[MC: Lovely Lightning|Lovely Lightning's]] {{MCStunned}} and [[MC: Entangling Vines|Entangling Vines']] {{MCBound}} effects are both very helpful if you can get them to land, granting you a reprieve to heal in. While the Chest is very resistant to {{MCPoisoned}}, managing to apply that status effect early on will gradually defeat it while you simply keep yourself alive.

=== Losing the Battle ===
The consequences of losing to the Hungry Treasure Chest vary depending on the state of your body upon defeat:
* Losing as a male results in Marianne finding out Eric(a)'s secret and ending in the [[MC: Frog In A Pond Game Over|Frog In A Pond Game Over]].
* Losing with at least the fifth stage of the Penis Reduction Transformation (or while in a Radical Transformation which grants a similar status) results in a trip to the [[MC: Punishment Classroom|Punishment Classroom]]. While certain Radical Transformations disallow starting the fight, they can still be triggered during the fight.
