'''Cursed Grimoire''' is the [[MC: Magico|Magico]] boss of the [[MC: Sealed Archives|Sealed Archives]]. Cursed Grimoire's stats are at about the dividing line between the early and mid-game. She is slightly stronger than [[MC: Alice (Boss Battle)|Alice]] and [[MC: Veronica (Boss Battle)|Veronica]] in their boss battles but you will have a full party by this point unlike for them. Cursed Grimoire shares the same {{MCSharp}} and {{MCFire}} weaknesses of her subordinates, making her susceptible to [[MC: Natalie|Natalie]].

In her repertoire, Cursed Grimoire has many moves capable of inflicting a variety of [[MC: Status Effects|status effects]] that makes her very troublesome, a couple of which are worth taking special note of. Her spells [[MC: Be Silent!|Be Silent!]] and [[MC: I can't hear you!|I can't hear you!]] are capable of inflicting the {{MCSilenced}} status effect, something which is extremely troubling if it happens to Natalie as she is both the healer as well as the main {{MCFire}} user. Make sure to carry a lot of [[MC: Consumable Items|healing items]] in case Natalie is unable to do so, as there is no easy way to cure silence.

Halfway into the fight, Cursed Grimoire may also begin to cast [[MC: Death Wail|Death Wail]] which carries a 25% chance of {{MCInstantDeath}}. This means that ideally the latter half of her health should be wiped out in as few turns as possible. Make any necessary preparations such as healing and buffing prior to getting her to that point so less actions are wasted on them once in the danger zone. Make sure to bring [[MC: Fairy's Dust|Fairy's Dust]] as well in case someone important gets unlucky, unless you are far enough in the game to have both [[MC: Shiny Restoration|Shiny Restoration]] as well as [[MC: Salvation|Salvation]]. Although if you are in the latter case, then your party is likely powerful enough to not have much trouble with this boss to begin with.

=== Losing the Battle ===
Losing against Cursed Grimoire will have her shrinking [[MC: Eric(a)|Eric(a)]] to the size of a bisque doll. Escaping out the window before she can do anything further, the teleportation spell triggers shortly after, returning Eric(a) to [[MC: Natalie|Natalie's]] room. With the [[MC: Cutie Knights|Cutie Knights]] and [[MC: Isabelle|Isabelle]] gathered to inspect Eric(a)'s new state, Isabelle will end up restoring Eric(a)'s normal size despite [[MC: Alice|Alice's]] disappointment. Even after she is done though, a stage of the [[MC: Height Reduction Transformation|Height Reduction Transformation]] will remain, possibly due to an interaction with leaving the Library and its space expansion magic outside of the normal entryway.
