'''Siphoning''' is the act of draining magic from an [[MC: Cores|Arcano Core]] in order to increase the power of a [[MC: Magical Girl|Magical Girl]]. This is a process that is only effective if the Magical Girl in question has a neutral magical aura, meaning they had no magical powers prior to becoming a Magical Girl. If a girl had powers prior to becoming a Magical Girl, while it gives them an initial boost, it also directs the manner in which their powers will develop. Adding the power from an Arcano Core to this can conflict with the existing nature of their magic, possibly even weakening them.

In gameplay terms this means that of the [[MC: Cutie Knights|Cutie Knights]] only [[MC: Eric(a)|Eric(a)]] is capable of siphoning a Core. This is something that can be done at the ritual room in the basement of [[MC: Phyre's Tower|Phyre's Tower]], a process that will take the rest of the day and return the party back to the [[MC: Magical Camp|camp]] at dinner time. A Core is not consumed or otherwise altered when siphoned and can continue to be equipped by any member of the party. Each time a Core is siphoned, there are up to three effects that will happen:
