The '''Assassin''' is the final boss of the [[MC: Watanabe Inn|Watanabe Inn]], a vampire assassin sent by the elusive [[MC: Y Investigation|Y]] to kill [[MC: Eric(a)|Eric(a)]]. There are three phases to her fight, and you will be fighting her with just Eric(a) and one teammate, depending on who you have the highest affection with.

The first phase is fairly straightforward. In her true form she will fight you head on. She has no particular weaknesses and a wide spread of potential offensive options, not to mention the variability of the player's own party.

Once her HP is brought down all the way it will move on to phase two. The Assassin will summon two clones and reduce her own abilities to try and blend in better. To pass this phase the player must accurately attack the actual assassin instead of her two clones, as "defeating" her clones will cause her to use [[MC: Kunai Storm|Kunai Storm]], an attack which will instantly kill the party. Do not just use attacks to hit all opponents here as the weaker clones will definitely die first. There are several methods for finding the true Assassin:
* '''Damage''': The actual Assassin still retains a higher ATK stat than the clones, and will do slightly more damage.
* '''Dual Attack''': Very rarely the real Assassin will hit an enemy target twice in a row.
* '''MP Drain''': The clones have no MP. If you have [[MC: Veronica|Veronica]] with you then she can only use [[MC: Mana Theft|Mana Theft]] on the real Assassin.
* '''Scan''': If the player has the [[MC: Scan Scope|Scan Scope]] then they can use the Scan command. You can find the Assassin in a single turn with this by using both characters to scan two different targets. If you find one with higher stats it is the Assassin. If they both have the same stats, the one not scanned is the real one.
After finding the true Assassin, the two clones will transform into [[MC: Vampire Bat|Vampire Bats]] while the Assassin reverts to the stats in her true form and regains the use of all her abilities. The Vampire Bats are significantly weaker than the Assassin here so it is up to the player if they wish to remove them as obstacles first since they will go down easier, or focus down the Assassin as a higher priority threat.
