The '''Was It Just A Dream? Ending''' is an [[PotEO: Endings|ending]] in [[Prisoners of the Elder One]]. It occurs after leaving through the golden doors with a rescued and restored [[PotEO: Tiffany|Tiffany]]. This is achieved as follows:
* Take the [[PotEO: Hair Pin|Hair Pin]], and escape the [[PotEO: Bedroom|Bedroom]] through either the [[PotEO: Rope|Rope]] or its [[PotEO: Room Key|Key]].
* Go to [[PotEO: Yuki's Room|Yuki's Room]]. Take the [[PotEO: Crowbar|Crowbar]] from the kimono rack and press the round pressure plate. Go downstairs to receive the [[PotEO: Collar|Collar]].
* Go to the [[PotEO: Dining Room|Dining Room]], tell [[Rania]] about [[PotEO: Yuki|Yuki]] and show her the Collar. Grab a [[PotEO: Bottle of Blood|Bottle of Blood]].
* Go to the [[PotEO: Dirty Room|Dirty Room]]. Grab the [[PotEO: Broom|Broom]] and [[PotEO: Dustpan|Dustpan]], and use them to collect the [[PotEO: Mirror Shard|Mirror Shard]]. Use the Crowbar on the dresser to get the [[PotEO: Hand Mirror|Hand Mirror]]. Give the Bottle of Blood to [[PotEO: Camellia|Camellia]] and use the Hand Mirror.
* Give Camelia another Bottle of Blood and help her clean. Use the Hand Mirror on her.
* Go to the [[PotEO: Doll Room|Doll Room]]. Use the Hair Pin on either door and take the [[PotEO: Torn Page|Torn Page]] from [[PotEO: Vicky|Vicky]]. Take the [[PotEO: Library Key|Library Key]] from the drawer, and use the Broom on the fireplace.
* Go to the [[PotEO: Nexus Crypt|Nexus Crypt]] and use the Torn Page on the altar to spawn the [[PotEO: Transfigurative Orb|Transfigurative Orb]]. Identify the Orb with Rania.
* Go to the [[PotEO: Library|Library]], and take the [[PotEO: Acid|Acid]].
* Go to the [[PotEO: Kitchen|Kitchen]] and take the [[PotEO: Lighter|Lighter]] on the counter and the [[PotEO: Tofu|Tofu]] in the fridge. Go downstairs and use the Acid on the chest to get the [[PotEO: Gold Key|Gold Key]].
* Light all the torches with the Lighter, and use the Mirror Shard in the center of the pentagram. Flatter [[PotEO: Aubrey|Aubrey]] three (and only three) times. The correct responses are:
** "You, the Machiavellian Monarch of Malevolence"
** "Completely devoid of virtue"
** "I tremble with fear"
** "Kissing your lips"
* Use the [[PotEO: Hellfire Wand|Hellfire Wand]] on [[PotEO: Satsu|Satsu]]. Go back to the Library and tell [[PotEO: Gillermo|Gillermo]] "Yuki has my sister".
* Combine the [[PotEO: Sleeping Drug|Sleeping Drug]] with the Tofu and give it to Yuki. Use the Transfigurative Orb on [[PotEO: Tiffany|Tiffany]].
* Exit through the golden doors.
Perhaps the 'Best' ending of the game, it shows [[PotEO: Erik|Erik]] and Tiffany waking up from what they assume to be a nasty dream, free of any unwanted (or wanted) transformations. This ending will change depending on if other parameters have been met, and all but two 'romances' use a variation of it.
